Initiatives For Education
In 1935, Shrihari Keertan Pathshala was established. Following are some of our initiatives towards Education.
Through Keertan Mahavidyalay (Shrihari Keertanottejak Pathshala), we offer full time formal educational programmes for developing the essential skills for performing Kirtan. The students attain "Keertan Visharad" Degree on the completion of this programme. This Degree is equivalent to a graduation qualification. The ex-students of this programme are very successful and deeply regarded Kirtankars today.
In association with Sakal Group (our sponsors), we run short courses/vacation batches for teaching the subject matter of Keertan to various age groups. We receive admissions from various regions of Maharashtra, Goa and Madhya Pradesh for this programme. We also provide residential facilities and meals to out-station students of this course at nominal rates.
A school is run in our premises to formally educate children from various age groups through English and Marathi medium.
We run a library in our premises that houses 3500 books. These books cover various subjects, literatures, philosophies and scriptures.
